How We Serve You

The ECCC serves primarily the communities of Corinth and Topsham. We pass along the generous donations we receive to help fill the following needs:

Emergency Fund

We provide help with verified needs for heat, firewood, gasoline, eviction notices, shutoff notices on utility bills, etc. Funding for these services are provided by the Corinth Coffee House, parishioners and friends of the church. Please contact Rev KellyAnn Donahue to discuss how we can offer assistance to you.

Food Shelf

We work with the New Hope Food Shelf at the Grange Hall in West Topsham on Route 25. Donations of non-perishable food items are collected at the church and delivered to the Food Shelf weekly. You may leave your donations of non-perishable food items at the church in the box to the left of the door after you enter.

New Hope Food Shelf in West Topsham is open:
Mondays  3pm-4pm
Fridays  5:30pm-6:30pm

Corinth Volunteer Fire Department

Each year, usually in late January, we host an annual Chili Contest and Church Supper, affectionately known as the ECCCCC (East Corinth Congregational Church Chili Cookoff Championship). Participants vie to win the coveted Beige Apron. All proceeds from this event are donated to the Corinth Volunteer Fire Department to help pay for firefighter training and equipment.

Firewood Ministry

For several years, the Church has had a firewood ministry as part of the Pastor’s Discretionary Fund. That fund is designed to help “tide” people over when bills or financial needs are overwhelming.  Just as we may pay for a partial oil or gas delivery, the firewood is available to help those who heat with wood or have a stove as a secondary heat source.  We often have wood cut and split and some rounds awaiting some “sweat equity” for splitting. Please check with Pastor Kelly if you have any questions.

ECCC Women’s Fellowship

The Women’s Fellowship is loosely associated with the East Corinth Congregational Church; all women of the community are welcome to participate and experience fellowship with other women within a spiritual context. The Fellowship serves by engaging in outreach to the community in times of joy and sorrow and by reaching out to the larger community through mission work and support.

The Fellowship raises money through individual pledges and bake sales. A mission committee meets semi-annually to develop recommendations for donations to mostly local charities with an emphasis on women’s issues. Read more about Women’s Fellowship »
