Women’s Fellowship

The ECCC Women’s Fellowship was established in 1943 and meets monthly from September to June. Each meeting has a hostess/coordinator who arranges the venue and provides for refreshments. There is also a facilitator who is responsible for leading the meeting itself. For for the past several years, the WF Planning Committee has adopted a thematic approach which provides a focus for the meetings. Recent themes have included: Aging with Grace, Dignity, and Humor; Artists and Writers Among Us; and Stepping Outside Our Comfort Zone: Embracing Your Adventuresome Spirit.

The Fellowship is financially independent of the East Corinth Congregational Church and raises money through individual pledges and bake sales. A mission committee meets annually to develop recommendations for donations to mostly local charities with an emphasis on women’s issues (read about social outreach here). The Fellowship is open to all women of the greater community regardless of faith or church affiliation. Please contact us for information on our upcoming meetings »

Easter Sunrise Service

Join us on the lawn of the Blake Memorial Library at 6:00am for an Easter Sunrise Service followed by a pot luck breakfast across the street in the Church Hall. The usual 10:00am Worship Service will also be held on Easter morning.

Christmas Eve Service

Our traditional service of Carols and Candles is held at 7:00pm on Christmas Eve. Enjoy the blessings of the season as we sing Silent Night with the sanctuary lit only by candlelight.

Sunday School

Our Sunday School program is grounded in the belief that by following the stories from the bible, children learn the values we share as Christians. We use an open-door approach in response to the lifestyles and schedules of today’s families. Come each week, once in a while or whatever fits your family’s ability to participate. The program starts upstairs at 10am; children attend the beginning of the service and then hear a children’s’ message before heading downstairs for stories and crafts. As a Sunday School, we have developed an outreach program to those members of the community who are shut in or lonely and we also send cards that we make for many holidays. The program runs from September thru May. During the summer months there is childcare and crafts available during the service. Children and toddlers are welcome.

Corinth Fourth of July Parade & Barbeque

For more than 60 years members of the community have joined in the annual parade to celebrate the founding of our great country. The parade is held in East Corinth Village and we have floats and horses and fire trucks and antique cars and tractors and all the trappings to celebrate our community’s rural heritage. The parade is followed by a chicken BBQ (with all the fixin’s) at the Fairgrounds, including homemade desserts. There is also live music, a live auction. a silent auction and face painting and lots of kid’s activities.

Church Suppers

Over the course of the year we offer church suppers to suit all tastes. We usually kick off the church supper season with a traditional chicken pie supper. This will be followed by perhaps a roast pork supper, a spaghetti supper, a chicken parmesan supper and maybe a lasagna supper. There is always a vegetarian option available at each meal. Admission is by donation and a full meal is served, including a beverage and dessert. Enjoy the company of your friends and neighbors as you dine on a well-prepared meal.

Other:  We also make Thanksgiving baskets for several families as well as little cookie gifts for those who have difficulty getting into church on Sunday. Contact us for more information.
